Brief Information About Konya
Konya, Turkey is the largest province in terms of surface area. It hosted many civilizations in its history dating back to 7000 BC. Çatalhöyük, one of the oldest settlements in the world, has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city was the capital of the Anatolian Seljuks. Due to its location on the Silk Road, Konya's historical inns, Turkish baths, madrasahs, caravanserais attract great attention. The mausoleum of the great thinker Mevlana Celalettin Rumi is in Konya.
