Ankara Rahmi M. Koç Museum, which is the first industrial museum of Ankara, was opened to visitors in 2005. Located right across the main entrance of Ankara Castle, at the location formerly known as Horse Market, the museum consists of two main buildings: Çengelhan and Safranhan.

The objects of “Atatürk and Ankara” section which belongs to the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Objects belonging to the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Atatürk are exhibited in the “Atatürk and Ankara” section. The collection was brought together by Colonel Halil Nuri Yurdakul, who played an important role in the War of Independence and later joined Atatürk’s relatives and colleagues. His son Prof. Dr. Yurdakul was donated by Yurdakul and his bride, Ayşe Acatay Yurdakul.
